Service Description

Day 1: Drive from Leh to Likir. About 40 km. drive. Along the way one can visit Spituk monastery and confluence (Sangam) of Indus and Zanskar rivers. Further is the beautiful town of Likir. Visit to the monastery and prepare for the trek with a hearty snack. Start the trek at Likir and trek to Yangthang village some 17-18 km. On an average it takes 5-6 hours to trek. Night will be in a simple homestay at Yangthang village. Day 2: After a traditional Ladakhi breakfast, start the trek to Hemis Shukpachan. Its a short trek over a pass from where the valleys on both sides are beautiful. Have rest at the village homestay and explore the area in evening. The hosts will have lots of stories to tell. Day 3: Today trek from Hemis Shukpachan to Timisgam Ang over the heighest pass of this little trek called Mebtak La at 3700 meters. One can visit the ruins of Timisgam fort and the monastery or walk through the beautiful village. Night will be spent in a comfortable homestay. Trek ends here with beautiful memories, increased endurance and plans for future!! One can increase or decrease the number of days by customizing the trek with us. Also destinations such as Lamayuru - moonland, Alchi, Rizong can be added for sightseeing.
